An impact that resonated
The Year was 1993. The tv-show ‘X-files’ had just premiered, Bill Clinton had just been inagurated into the white house (for the first time) and business expenditure was managed with Microsoft Excel; only the briefest of steps up from taking a chisel to a stone slab.
The monotony of any such task would put a damper to the end of any business trip, it was the urge to break-free from this cycle that was the driving force behind the creation of the Concur Software by founders Rajeev Singh, his brother Steve Singh, and friend Mike Hilton.

What started as a small start-up amongst 3 individuals quickly grew.
Concur Technologies after being founded in 1993, became a public company in 1998. Continuing to raise capital through private rounds, most notable of which was a $251 million dollar round in 2008, with American Express as an investor.

Full Steam Ahead
In the year 2000, the company pivoted away from windows application and toward the cloud. Re-engineering the product as a Multi-tenancy Platform-as-a-Service.
In 2014 the company was purchased by SAP for $8.3 billion dollars and became known as SAP Concur

Since acquired by SAP, Concur has experienced 14% year-over-year revenue growth driven by product enhancements and continued innovation.
Concur doesn’t show any sign of slowing down however, with SAP Concur and Amex GBT combining their efforts to launch ‘Complete’; a co-developed next-gen solution with AI at its core.
